When will I see results?
Many patients report a fresher complexion after just a few days. The actual formation of new collagen develops over several weeks. For optimal results we usually recommend three to four treatments, four to six weeks apart.

Microneedling can be usefully combined with a PRP autologous blood treatment to specifically enhance the regenerative effect.
A platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is obtained from a small amount of your own blood. Studies show that gently massaging PRP into the skin after microneedling is as effective as injecting it beneath the skin – the body's own growth factors reach the dermis through the opened micro-channels and act directly for a stronger, natural regenerative and rejuvenating effect.

Questions & Answers
Is microneedling painful?
The treatment is usually well tolerated. On request we apply a numbing cream. This needs around one hour to take effect – please arrive earlier in that case so the treatment is comfortable for you.
Do I need to plan more time for the treatment?
If you would like a numbing cream, please allow about one extra hour. Without numbing cream this waiting time is not needed.
How long does a treatment take?
Depending on the treatment area, around 45 to 60 minutes.
How many treatments do I need?
For most skin types we recommend three to four sessions, four to six weeks apart.
Does microneedling help with acne scars?
Yes. Particularly superficial and moderate acne scars can be visibly improved.
Can I go back to work afterwards?
Yes. The skin is usually only slightly reddened and settles within one to two days.
I have had cold sores – is anything required?
Yes. With a history of herpes simplex – especially when treating the lips or the perioral area – antiviral prophylaxis is required. The micro-injury stimulus can promote reactivation; prophylaxis significantly reduces this risk. Please tell us before your treatment.
Is microneedling suitable for every skin type?
